I think he's mad, look how he acted in the Lethal Weapon movies, slapping his face like one of the three stooges, plus the part dislocating his shuolder in the straight jacket. For some actors there is no difference between real life and acting in the movies. Robyn Williams is another classic example, love him in the movies, but can't stand him when he is being interviewed, it's just like he's acting, or more likely his real personality, he just doesn't make any sense.
