I think it is nothing of the sort, just observations from people who have watched the stock and others. You are making the classic mistake of assuming correlation is the same as a cause and effect!
BLK management have always been quick to slip in good news, mostly because with the number of people working and interacting with a mine site is too large to contain. The price always preempts the news for operations issues. Costs are a different matter though since only a few in the company know in advance.
