melbourne cup..."la diva".....

Makybe Diva is still NOT a certainty to run in tomorrow's Melbourne Cup...
ABC just mentioned that L. Freedman will ask D. Oliver (his erstwhile top, #1 Jockey) to inspect the Flemington track early tommorow morning....
If it's deemed to be fast or even dry they may scratch the horse, for the Diva, like a veritable classsy "Prima Donna" she is, cannot handle a track that is soft enough to her liking......
She will leave the race for the rough, "uncultured", "plebeian" atis (horses) to fight it out.....
