I haven't been either but seen them all since early 70's.
First winner I backed was Gold & Black.
Favourite cup was easily Media Puzzle with Damien, although had nothing on.
Most succesful financially was Delta Blues. Ran an SP book at high school in 79, cleaned up as no-one backed Arwon and only one payout on the second horse. From memory won the princely sum of $32.
This year I'm on Exceptionally, loves Flemington and will stay all day. She's back in the form that saw her finishing alongside Americain, Zipping, Manighar, etc a couple of years back.
