interesting that the Aussie infantry regulars thought the same thing about the 'choccos' in WW2 -
and, they were just plain wrong
you are living proof that we don't learn much, no matter if we've got history staring us in the face
humans haven't changed in nature at all -------------- they adapt to their conditions -
but, in the end, if you change conditions - then nature takes over
that people/society are now thinking about setting controls to stop crowds going out in very hot or very cold weather is pretty smart -------- as opposed to allowing brainless mobs to expose themselves to dangerous conditions
after all - we have the saying 'only Englishmen and mad dogs go out in the midday sun'
