I think when banks tend to send a heap of jobs overseas they tend to pick and choose the timing so as to have least blow back. At present the geopolitical climate for such moves is pretty toxic as seen by Brexit and Trump winning when both were heavily tied to jobs staying in the respective countries. In the end if they truly do want the product and service at some point they would do it regardless because in the end banks care about profit. In the mean time they may be prepared to wait which doesn't help us and keeps people playing guessing games whether there's another reason.
