No it's not official and gives nothing that is sensative but it is more than you get elsewhere.
I always appreciate a board that is open to sh communications. It's always a shame to be involved in companies that do not respond to their shs and I see it as a good measure when considering investing.
You are entitled to a difference of opinion but I know how I prefer it to be. Open communication and equal respect between shs and board. I find contacting clients as downright disrespectful.
