MO was late for the meeting as he was requested to go to Canberra by the Government. He was at a meeting in Canberra this morning.
The buoys were taken out of the water after 12 months as ALL requirements had been met under ARENA funding.
Under Government rules you have to write off before claiming 45% R&D tax. The board decided that the $12m was better in the bank up front than power sales. I agree.
CETO 6 has 6 removable modules on top, each containing one of the six major components that can be removed for servicing. Two to three hours retrieval or deployment time.
Oil & Gas money is funding the foundation research with University.
Garden Island micro grid will be 2 mw solar, half mw battery storage and 3 mw CETO 6.
This will take Garden Island completely off grid.
Western Power and Horizon Power are both working in CWE's office on micro grid. The recent fires in WA destroyed large parts of the grid. Makes micro grids more attractive.
All are due to go to Canberra soon for a meeting with ARENA.
CWE to form an alliance to partner in micro grids. Garden Island to be the first.
Mauritius micro grid proposal was put together by Carnegie. Australian Government had funds available CWE asked why not spend with an Australian Company.
There currently is lots of this type of funding floating around for islands. Paris.
First stage of UK grant funding is complete (this is the hardest stage) should see in the next couple of months.
There 4wave test sites all ready to go in Europe UK, Ireland. Scotland and Spain all want to host it.
EDF are still heavy involved.
