    Petrol thefts at servos is climbing towards $18m a year. Drive offs are about 500 a month. It's a lot when there are less than 2500 servos in Victoria.
    A servo in Geelong area averages more than 1.5 thefts a day.
    Offenders have been warned though.
    Vic Pol is going to compile a database so serial offenders can be identified.
    Problem solved.
