a friend recommended it 10 years ago as he had a $100k holding. The management was/is very funny. Kept an eye on it because of what he had invested. The governance issues, that machine that was stolen, the class b shares they gave away, the constant capital raises, Alison paying herself bonus’s for “good performance” has all been very entertaining
he doesn’t talk about it anymore
then it gets new investors who blow in for 5 mins like old quest and think they’re seasoned in telling me how great MEM is and completely ignore its past and the fact MEM has done nothing to improve its image YET.
optimism is great, but backslap when they outperform expectations. I’ve never seen a company over promise and under deliver more over a longer period of time than MEM. I’m not sure I can remember a single time they overdelivered
