There is a psychological difference between men and women.
Women dwell on their disappointments, whereas men dwell on their failures.
In the latter case, some men do not want to admit failure and want to prove that they can do better next time and take greater risks to achieve this.
We have had several failures in MLM
The haulage road - the delay in production.
The misjudgement with the merger and the subsequent cancellation by Melior .
The opposition/rejection of shareholders right to call for a meeting.
The non-engagement with the SAG.
The obstruction and legal action against his group show a board unable to deal and engage constructively.
They look upon the SAG as a number of disgruntled share holders who have no right.
It may be that the board does not seethe delay in the haulage road nor the cancellation of the merger as a failure on their part and will lay blame Melior as is the case.
People who manifest this behaviour are by definition, psychological fragile, they look confident and stand their ground and do not back down. This rigidity is not a sign of strength, but of weakness, they are compelled to take this stand to protect their egos and to prove that the next deal will be a success.
The two directors who resigned were the smart ones, they smelled and saw the writing on the wall and got out before their reputations were tainted.
It takes strength and courage to deal with reality and own up and admit mistakes.
The comment last week in the Courier mail, that the share holders want to control the company at no cost, reflects a board that sees itself as being the owner rather than the shareholder representative.
Regardless of the outcome of the meeting in February, the board has lost the right to govern this company, there will always be opposition,if not this time, next time, the best solution for all would be to resign, but that takes strength and courage.
