Tbird, I was going In looking for the croc, I’ll run out of muddies tomorrow. I have to tell you and ACE to lighten the atmosphere. I had $100 cash at Karumba and no fuel. The guy next tonne had a $500,000 mobile home and ordered 200-liter drum diesel. The fuel guy couldn’t deliver on the day cause the forklift couldn’t load the drum. So he arrived the day after the $500k rig left. He unloaded the 200l drum at the guy's van bay cause the guy had already paid. The truck came back to pick up the empty drum but was still full, but the forklift wouldn’t start on the back of the truck to get to the hydraulic lift. Then the guy says to me “ can you empty the drum, I’m going for a beer and be back in 2o mins and gave me a hand pump. By the time he came back, I had filled my camper to the brim and the 4x20 liter Jerry cans. The trucky guy picked up the drum and threw it on his truck and said “ see ya thanks mate” I thought “there is a god”. 40 klms from Cloncurry is the $500,000 mobile home on side of the road. I stopped, what’s wrong? He said ran out of fuel, and said: “ the guy never turned up with the fuel so I thought we could make it to Cloncurry. I said here's 20 liters, keep the Jerry can. He shook my hand and said, “. Thanks, mate, I said “. No! thank you mate”, and he said “Not many people like you left in the world mate.” I said, “ your right“ and off I drove. Then with the $100 in cash I turned it into $6,000 at Townsville Casino. Hope the same luck with TBA but I think it’s a long shot. Happy new year again to the strugglers.
