I don't see how the Norilsk story taints his credibility. To work for Norilsk is impressive even if the Australian venture didn't work out. Norilsk Nickel Group is the world’s largest producer of nickel accounting for 20 per cent of global production including palladium and one of the world’s leading producers of platinum and copper. To understand how powerful the company is, they never got any sanctions placed on them, not that the sanctions really achieved anything in the end.
