Oldcar, Golden mile was drill blast pattern of 3m x 3m. They didn’t have a clue where to mine with 3mx3m grid pattern for grade control. See 1x1m graphic (geologist knows exactly what to mine) See 3mx3m grid. Just take everything (waste & maybe if lucky little ore) because u can’t identify orebody. This is the prime
reason the TBA senior geologist and long term contractor bolted from the mine site in August. TBA was mining tonnes of waste with a little fluke of some orebody. Basically flying blind. The Comstock is a 1 to 1.5 m wide orebody. With little width ore oxide need to drill pattern grid close around the orebody identified by GPS and resource drilling. But to retain and mine the high grade gold the blast holes ( assayed) need to be at 1m intervals around the orebody area. Outside the ore off can do 3x3m. This is just inexperienced mining and planning. Imagine if you are looking for a bag of money in a 1x 1m box in your backyard. Would you push a rod down at 1m @ 3m intervals? Or a rod down 1/2metre and at 1/2m invervals? See attachments. Only rough but you will get the drift. The 1mx1m drill grid pattern hit and identified the orebody with 20 hits making it simple for the geologist to mark with colour paint onto the ground the outline of the ordbody to be mined. With the 3mx3m only have 3 hits so just bulk mine everything, waste and ore. That’s why we got low grade and massive dilution. With the waste rock.

How could you find anything with a grid like that
