    Boy this is going nowhere. Day traders hope to sell at a profit to other day traders or investors but ultimately they expect there will be dividends in the future that they will receive or the person they sell to expects to receive.
    I’ve seen plenty of valuations of unlisted shares and invariably they use a discounted cash flow analysis of (you guessed it) projected dividends!!!
