How it was used or how it was reported as being used on the premise of the headline?

Touting Vision EQXX as “a car that thinks like you,” Mercedes promises range of more than 1,000 km (about 620 miles) on a single charge.

Do we know whether it was embedded elsewhere...unlikely be told or reported as MB will not give everything up in trying to keep ahead of competitors.

You are unlikely an engineer or AI specialist like most of us so hardly qualified either for some of your posts & statements.

If you look back to the Vision AVTR press release which was early 2020 and then followed up by the next iteration being this years Vision EQXX you can see where MB were thinking on neuromorphic back in 2020.

Can't think of too many genuine pure neuromorphic players out there in 2019 / 2020.and given the EQXX has Akida, one could surmise MB were playing with Akida back then.

Can anyone say with absolutely certainty the total utilisation of any new tech in the concepts?

Unlikely the manufacturer will give all up.

And on the word concept....would appear even that is a bit bit misleading in some ways as per the article snip on the EQXX after the AVTR press release.

There is, of course, one large elephant in the room. The Vision EQXX is a concept car – and isn’t slated for production.

So, is has this all been an academic exercise with no bearing on reality? Not quite.

“The Vision EQXX is a new technology blueprint for series production in many ways,” says Schanz.

“We started some years back with integrating AI in our MBUX System (e.g. predicting calls or commuting routes). We continuously will improve the MBUX system, especially the MBUX Voice Assistant, by integrating the latest AI and machine-learning technologies and bringing the UX to the next level.”

It’s better then to think of the Vision EQXX as a rolling testbed for Mercedes’ future cars and, with the German giant rolling out electric cars with increasing regularity, you can expect to see more drivers chatting away to their voice assistants in the years to come.
