As much as we'd all like this to be true, Brainchip have not confirmed that Mercedes are using Akida.

Rob Telson: … in the traditional AI world of today, the AI engine only can do one processing event a time, but with the neuromorphic architecture, it processes multiples events at a time and it does it consuming very little energy, and that’s what Brainchip does. So, what makes us even more unique is we have developed this as IP which means you embed it into the chips of today. Rob Telson – Yes for the purpose of this discussion yeh. So basically, what you are looking at is the ability to do multiple functions at a time. So, let’s talk about the cabin of a vehicle, and you know you’ve seen companies like Mercedes announce it. Now you can sit in their vehicle, and it’s going to recognise the driver, it’s going to recognise gesture, it’s going to recognise voice…….Brainchip has been touting that technology for a couple of years now….

Dale Bane - Is this technology being utilised right now?

Rob Telson - It’s still in the process of being adopted, right, so part of Ai is that it takes a while for these technologies not only to be developed, but then you have to get it to a level of accuracy that we as consumers are going to be able to use on an everyday basis……

Also, Mercedes did say in their CES podcast (at around 6.28 minutes)... - later this year, we will be deciding on a partner to further develop our AI technology.

I'm hopeful, but only time will tell.
