id definitely say I have a good relationship with Tony but it is not one built on consistent communication with him. At a guess, ive probably emailed him 5-7 times over the last 2 and a half years. Some of those emails were just a brief note of support after some difficult days on the asx and others were questions about the company, ie. Recently I asked about the product roadmap. Unlike some shareholders, i generally take the approach that the board and team generally have more important things to do than to cater to us retail shareholders so I avoid wasting their time when possible. I have also caught up with Tony over a coffee over lunch for some personal advice around my career and courses to study (Tony is a member of the Australian institute of company directors). Beyond that, I'm just a positive brainchip supporter which I think is the reason Tony is happy to see me at events as it's refreshing for him when you consider most of this correspondence he deals with on a daily basis is from disgruntled shareholders.

Those that are making out like these meetings were secret are misinformed. The Perth catch up was advertised on the other website before the event by the shareholder who is generally in charge of gathering rsvp's for Perth. I reached out and that's why/how I attended. There wasn't any more to it. I wasn't approached by tony. I was not warned of it being a secret etc, the only request was that it's a no dickhead policy so don't go putting billboards up around the city. I asked if I could bring a friend and was given the ok to do so, so it was hardly the secret meeting of the fellowship of the ring that it has been made out to be.

like all of the previous meetings, we never know who will be there from brainchip ahead of time but typically it is always Peter and Tony given they are in Perth. Pia often attends also and then from time to time we'll be surprised with special guests such as Sean, Ken and Antonio. I assume Melbourne and Sydney are similar.

FF did a post summarizing their Sydney discussions on the other website which I acknowledged was thematic to Perth. You may not believe the consistency but when you think about retail concerns, we are all similar. We want IP licenses, there's concerns about executive pay and board spills, we all want reassurance that customers are still customers. The concerns around the country are consistent so it makes sense the discussions at the meetings, which were led by shareholders questions, would be consistent.

Re your specific questions, I don't recall the sales manager being discussed beyond acknowledgement that they are still looking for a replacement. The CTO changeover was not discussed at all and as you will know was announced after the meetings. There was no clues given there. Someone did coincidentally raise concerns about the reliance on Peter and Anil from a technology perspective and the worry that they are both getting on in age and Sean did say they have succession plans on place for all key personnel so it is not a concern of his. I have previously heard him say that so did believe that to be true. Little did we know those plans were about to be implemented for Peter lol. LDA capital was discussed briefly as part of a wider funding question. someone asked if they plan to draw down to the requirements or renegotiate the facility as they did last time or if they could sell a % of the company to say Nvidia to get a large capital injection to ramp up commercialisation. Sean said he can't answer any of those questions but that everything is on the table from a funding perspective and they will look at all options. This is not surprising at all.

i can tell you having attended that there was nothing new or overly exciting, it was all just a steady as she goes type discussion with Sean informing us he's happy with the progress they are making. Thats pretty much it. You didn't miss out other than to have not heard it from the horses mouth yourself.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer my queries and providing your perspective, and I say that as commentary I’ve read from attendees or those party too the meetings has been pretty defensive since.

Now this is not a shot at you, but as I’ve indicated communication from Mr Dawe for me has been disappointing (despite me being polite enough) hence my own growing frustration when I read of meetings with ‘select’ retail holders that he has a ‘relationship’ with.

But if that’s the way he or they want to roll, then going forward it’d be good to see the meeting(s) discussion points / questions tabled in the CEO quarterly podcasts ( rather than the current cherry picked topics )

It’s just a suggestion but if they did that then I’d suggest there would be a lot less angst and probably a lot less work for IR.
