not much in it really. basically saying that MYL possibly has given the junta a source of income by pulling out of Myanmar and giving them control of the mine and possibly increased the risk of violence in the local community over control of the mine. however the junta don't have the capability of getting the mine up and running so by pulling out MYL actually removed a potential source of income (taxes from the mining activities).
i dont know what they expected MYL to do, keep hold of it, go bankrupt and then the mine gets taken over by the junta anyway? develop the mine and maybe benefit the local community but directly fund the junta? not much the company could have done.
