The illegal miners were after tanzanite, a precious stone. It seems unlikely to be a concern for Graphite IMO. The plant was adapted to tanzanite but the original engineers of the plant were called in to reassess it for reversion to graphite processing. In the interview posted the other day, Andrew Spinks asserted that, despite taking longer than they would have liked, the dual diligence had gone well.
