I agree I am approaching this with mixed emotions.....

I too put money in on expectation of Citigroup's involvement leading to a P/E bid. The merger does indeed seem to present longer term value ....and like you I hope the P/E guys still view it this way, as they typically like to combine a number of businesses together as well as slicing costs.

Either way as a mid-term position I think it looks good.

I think i will still hold and if it re-traces a little might even buy in a few more.....but won't over commit as it will be a mid-term play rather than a short term one.
