Mineral Securities says CopperCo merger unlikely to complete before mid-May

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Mineral Securities Ltd said its merger with Australian company CopperCo Ltd is unlikely to completie before mid-May, and that it continues to work on developing its own assets.

The company said it has recently been in talks with potential Greek partners for its Sappes gold project.

Mineral Securities said it has started the process of disposing its non-core assets and will continue this as and when market conditions allow.

It also named David Hillier as chief financial officer.
