Classic case of emotion entering his diatribe which is a clear sign he is breaking down. Anyone in a position of power in an argument (through knowledge or otherwise) wouldnt need to engage like he does now. They would simply state a fact, name a date the fact would crystalise in the future and the outcome from it.

You get nothing but fluff from this flog.
