I don't have a view on directors' and executives' shareholdings.
On the RRS presentation which is now online. John Ingram gave an OK presentation. A bit better than underwhelming. .Leah Moore gets the prize for the best of the recent presentations IMHO.. I wonder if we are waiting for a CEO to provide some more direction ... there wasn't a really compelling reason for the merger or future plans. "More irons in the fire" could apply to just about any combination of companies.
He did clarify that none of the former PNX projects are ready to develop. That rules out imminent development as a reason for the merger, but I can't criticise them for not going off half cocked on anything.
Tier one, potential game changer etc. etc. Could have been listening to any presentation rolling out those phrases. "Sealed road from Kalgoorlie" (wow) The VMS discovery at Leonora seems to be a bit of distraction to me ... one OK hole, but I thought VMS deposits occur in lenses which can be hard to find ... find one you know there could be others but you don't know where ... I can't see how that could be game changing without a huge amount of drilling. They were talking about polymetals when Munckton was around, so a bit of recycling an old announcement with the VMS discovery also.
Mertondale he said is ready to mine, resource update coming. That is potentially the next move to monetise something. RED 5 had no money before the merger with SLR, but now it might be interested .as would GMD. Two bidders would be good. He didn't say that ... my speculation.
He did say, more or less, they had been keeping quiet until the merger went through ... so as not to trouble the regulators he said, not sure what that was about, Not upsetting the quantum of PNX shares for one KIN share maybe. I would have said just not wasting announcements on an old company name. But I wasn't completely clear if they are sitting on some news or if they have been sitting on their hands.
Overall didn't quite dispel concerns that 90 Million liquid assets has made directors and management comfortable rather than driven, nor that the merger was more a tactic to share the KIN cash with Delphi's other investment, rather than for any actual strategic reason. But I am open to being proved wrong on both counts. I hope so.
And at least he didn't say "and we are looking for lithium".
