As I wrote earlier, SP is heading towards AUD 7 (and not AUD 17 as many here expected)
I would support a merger with large, diversified players, but not like the current one.
I don't see any point in merging with a manufacturer of batteries or lithium-based batteries. This field can come to a halt as quickly as it started. And for a long time in the event of a recession or crisis.
A lithium miner like Allkem (every miner) signs agreements and contracts for the mined commodity for a longer period of time, one, two years or more (even 10 years in the case of uranium) and during this time he guarantees himself the price that will bring him profit. During this time, the lithium battery industry may produce completely different profits or even losses. This is just unnecessary baggage for Allkem.
A merger, yes, but with such diversified large players as BHP or RIO. Diversification in extracted raw materials or jurisdictions (more or less safe) means profit from many sources!
IMHO!
