@dude is correct. There are 2 conditions that MUST be met by those casting votes AT the scheme meeting (present, online, or proxy). ABSTAINS do not count for anything.
1. Over 75% of shares voted to be in favour.
2. Over 50% of shareholders ( 1 HIN = 1 vote) must be in favour.
This is set down in Aust corporate law, and is also appears on page 597 of the scheme booklet, from which this graphic is taken.
I note that the AKE scheme meeting is going to allow online participation by shareholders, including ability to ask questions and cast votes if they so choose.
This is in contrast to the upcoming ORG meeting where online it will be VIEW ONLY for shareholders with NO Questions & NO Voting.... I Suspect ORG are fearful of meeting being contentious and close ( or fearful of SOA being rejected) and want to ‘shut the meeting down as much as possible with an ‘iron fist’).
