Unlocking synergies and reducing corporate costs - absolutely. And that is very typical of what we would want to see. But if you recall an earlier post of mine, this merger has extraordinarily high transaction (ie. merger) costs - as highlighted by the Money of Mine boys. That's likely to eat up an extraordinary amount of cost savings. Can I suggest that somewhat blunts your argument. But hey don't let the facts get in the way of your good story.... Normally I would run the numbers but I somewhat suspect that's not really gonna change your optimism. Each to their own...
