Despite there apparently being a relatively low chance of the merger triggering a CGT event, I will NOT be very happy at all if I need to sell almost a quarter of my holding to pay a (50% discounted) CGT bill. That would piss me right off, especially if the sp is still in the dumps when (if) I need to do so.

Having been here since the GXY days of 2009, I want my money reaping the full benefit of SDV and JB producing, not handing a significant chunk of it (by force) over to the ATO prematurely.
