imo dividends can actually have the opposite effect on the stock that people really want. I’d rather see the so grow. If people want dividends get an etf. You’ll constantly get dividends but you’ll barely see the stock grow.
I was listening to Roger Montgomery talk about this.. I’d rather see the company reinvest back into the business.. keep buying more businesses and see really big growth in the sp..
they keep dishing out the profits to pay dividends then I see less of that opportunity for company to experience real growth which really benefits all in the long run. If they did reinvest and bought new businesses then initially there would be less provide to divide so could have complete opposite impact on the sp.
it’s a no for dividends for me and the ability to see the company grow.
