I know that Livent holds IP on DLE extraction, but its not their sole province as an ASX listed company that has project extract Li from brines in Germany originally was going to bring in DLE technology from someone like Livent, but subsequently have developed and patented their own sorbents for it and according to public announcements, it is performing at expected recovery levels in pilot plant.
There is no desperate need for AKE to ‘sucker up’ to Livent to get access to their DLE ip, more likely the way they are behaving, Livent are more interested in sucking the lucrative Li saline ‘blood’ & spod resources out of AKE.
