What I think they should have done is to inform the market a while back that merger talks are taking place between the two companies and that the market will be kept informed in regards to the outcome. And once this has been finalised then they should have come forward to announce the deal. This way I beleive the sp of (maybe) both comapnies would have been sheltered from falling so much.
Maybe, dunno, but it's too late now..............
