I was always suspicious why Tesla didn't have many (enough) lithium supply deal agreements (See my post #: 61857901) and why Tesla was keeping its offtake agreements quite secret and undisclosed terms although Tesla has now many battery gigafactories around the world and they just added a new one in Shanghai for ESS (Energy Storage Systems - Stationary storage batteries) just recently.
And just consider that Tesla has a plan to produce 20m EV by 2030..!
That would be at least 50% of all EVs produced at that time.
Where will Tesla get so much lithium?
Tesla could find lithium to feed those battery factories for 5-10 years but would it end so shortly? No, those factories are being build for at least 20-30 years, maybe more.
That is the question comes from; Where will Tesla get so much lithium?
Why is Tesla not taking over ALB as it's the largest lithium producer in the world?
If ALB is not a good match for Tesla, then why is Tesla not taking over LTR?
Time will tell.
We just wait with our golden shares in hand
