Merkel's Worst Nightmare, page-14

After reading the worlds newspapers I have come to the conclusion that the move of the UK to leave the EU is just a totally unexplained aberration in the eyes of world leaders

I have not been able to find one story where the politicians of Europe or the UK asks the question is it our fault?

Obviously like an alcoholic you have to know you are one before you can fix the problem, so as the EU leaders do not see the problem they can't fix it, so the slow degrading of the EU will obviously continue, that includes socially and economically, therefore even at this early stage the UK did the right thing and it is also obvious that the UK has given themselves a chance to rebuild and become the leader again in that area of the world
Certainly if they don't see the problems they will repeat their failures and see more and more countries depart their sinking ship

Maybe we will see another FTA arise between the UK and other disaffected and discouraged EU states

It remains to be seen whether they seize the opportunity they have been offered or not
