Global Nuclear/Uranium Outlook
We believe it is time to start building positions in uranium equities, due to uranium (U3O8) consumption set to resume its growth path after the March 2011 nuclear accident in Fukushima. Also, Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda has given clearance to restart two units at KEPCO’s Ohi plant by the end of July 2012. This marks the first Japanese nuclear reactor restart since the Fukushima accident last year. Thus, we recently upgraded Energy Resources of Australia (ERA AU), Cameco Corp. (CCO CN) and Uranium One Inc. (UUU CN) to Buy.
