sorry to put a big a big dampener on MMX but it is difficult to justify all the over exuberant euphoria on a company that can only shift 2mtpa of ore by trucking it 500km to a port
MMX is stuck indefinitely in a 2mpta groove untill the whole issue of infrastructure is successfully determined for all of the midwest resource industry
the WA gov has stipulated that it will not allow single ownership infrastructure setup. at this point in time the MMX MITSUBISHI connection can only be construed as a show of chest beating posturing
the midwest infrastructure model will need to be a set up where the needs of all of the midwest resource players is considered.
the yilgarn consortium has stated that it can in fact build the infrastructure project a year ahead of mitsubishi so ultimately the yilgarn model will be the infrastructure of choice !!
