Was waiting for yet another witty reply from you Inc. You too seem to have your tail up recently. Maybe all the positivity is wearing off after all?
So let's play.
Some of us Inc. retain a portion of shares in capital account (tax term I'm sure you're aware of) and some in trading account to capitalise on when a downturn such as now is occurring. Yes, that's right. Capitalise.
Many of the smart people - and I'm sure they're here too - moved to protect the value of their investments when this downturn started to bite.
I get the impression you didn't.
For those that did, the question is when and how you read the downturn coming.
If you were able to read the tea-leaves a little you would have offloaded some stock - more rather than less once things became apparent - so that when the buy signal that some talk of recurred you might buy back in at a lower price and increase your holding in the stock.
So, it strikes me that either you forgot to take the blinkers off, or were so "broken-hearted" that you couldn't force yourself to adapt to the changing circumstances. For what it's worth, there may be one other chance in your lifetime where there is a similar cataclysmic event as the 2008 crash.
If you're as smart as you've been trying to convey in your posts lately you might be able to make some coin and pull the tail out from between your legs when this happens next time.
And yes, can confirm that not a Director or associate of Save the Kimberley Inc.
Perhaps you might want to broaden your frames of reference to beyond the ITAA: tax very narrow, notwithstanding that you no doubt do a great job keeping up with it all. Then the bigger picture with the world might truly become more apparent and might not keep hitting such a raw nerve with you when it gets posted.
By the way, are you South African? Time for me to start asking the odd question of you....
And a second question. You also note that you have no stock held. Yet your posts say the opposite. What's the go?
Cheers.
