So another year has left us now, absurd and pockets light
with our Mother Earth refusing to give birth without a fight.
So we'll add some artificial, just to help her strain
and gently rub and massage, and hope she won't complain.

And if she does we'll leave her there, allow her 'pregnant pause'
and trek to where our seismics point, before the tundra thaws.
'Cause they say our share's a billion there, that sounds a lot to me?!
(tho i will not denounce such things, nor pass on gluttony).

My father always said to me, "Life's a chance my son...
to make or break, to have a go, just make sure you have some fun".
And still his words they resonate, from far beyond his grave,
among other bits of good advice on how i should behave.

And so i guess that's why we're here, intrepid and unflinched
Aboard this train's potential, with sphincters often clinched.
It's hard to know when courage ends, and foolishness takes over
but at this point in our journey... i just see us getting closer!

And so to all the pen-pals here, there goes another year
And just in case we never meet, I'll raise a cyber beer.
To celebrate the laughs and spats, we've dished them out it's true
And i'll be here a while yet, i hope you all are too.
