That wasn't a dig at you or anyone in particular, more a dig at society in general.
I'm not a zealot or a religious nut, but to use an old and well worn saying, Jesus is the reason for the season.
If I wasn't a Christian I would still say "Christmas". What's the big deal? It's almost as bad as "Seasons Greetings"...now that one is truly annoying.
To my Jewish friends I have no issues saying Happy Rosh Hashanah or Happy Pesach or Mazeltof. And to my muslim friends I have no issues saying All the best during Ramadan.
