My understanding is that the two trade independently of each other, so in theory the price of MESO does not necessarily have to equal 5 x the price of MSB converted into USD. However, in practice, I believe that the two listings will stay pretty much in sync.
Benitec is a good example. The current price of BLT (on the ASX) is AUD$0.38, while the NASDAQ price is USD$5.44. In that case, one ADS = 20 ordinary shares. $0.38 x 20 = AUD$7.60, which is about USD$5.43. Ie the underlying share price is basically the same on both listings.
