I cured a friends Labrador of a bad case of mange by getting her to simply add Sardines to the dogs food every night for a week. Visible improvement seen every single day and gone within a week. Omega 3 oils primarily but not the only thing in Sardines. The dogs diet had not been sufficiently varied for too long, so it was a long-term deficiency problem leading to a compromised immune system problem. Once given the building blocks to work with immune system got the mites gone.... to the extent of mange anyway. I did not her to use the poison approach vets normally do - that can kill the dog if too much given.
