Just as an aside.
Can someone please explain to my logical brain, the illogical why of $1-Austrain (1.05 to be exact) equating to $7 American (US-dollars) when I know if I were to go to a bank and ask for this exchange rate, the bank would reject it?
I am assuming it is because of the indifferent amount of shares listed on each exchange? Something
like 8-shares here for every 1-share there?
Thought I'd ask seeing as USA today was having national blow-something-up day. Just wondering how the calculation gets made, because it can't be purely exchange rate based.
