I've posted this before, but the sponsors are the ones who determine the end-points, or at least have the larger say in the end-points.
CHF - it was TEVA
C19 ARDS - it was NIH
And as you know, it got to do with patient numbers and $$$.
Sponsors would want as low patients numbers to keep $$$ down; but, enough to satisfy the primary end-point.
So, it's not all up to Mesoblast.
