I wouldn't be too sure about that. Keep in mind Dr Grossman's board certification was in psychiatry, which may align better with the aspirations of Coya Therapeutics to use those Tregs in treating dementia. Good luck to him. Enlightened self-interest says we'll all be very interested in the outcomes sooner or later.
But I must say - with no disrespect intended for Dr Grossman or his contributions to MSB - that I am very glad that it's Dr Eric Rose rather than Dr Grossman who's attending what looks like a Feb/Mar 2025 initial comprehensive meeting with OTP under Mesoblast's RMAT designation for REVASCOR for HLHS.
I wasn't in favour of Dr Rose' allotment/ subscription as ratified at the AGM, however I am all in favour of Dr Rose being now even more incentivised to put Mesoblast's best foot forward at that meeting (more about that later). And I cannot think of a person other than the world's pioneer in successful pediatric heart transplant to advance our case for Accelerated Approval support at that meeting. This is a PR story opportunity for Peter Marks (with an incoming Dr Marty Makary as likely Commissioner) that IMO Marks would fall all over himself making sure it happens, even were Dr Verdun - a paediatric haematologist - not of a like mind, which I believe she absolutely is. Honestly, the optics for a political animal like Marks would be sensational, as I see it.
Very much looking forward to & hoping for this (i.e. the FDA's willingness to support AA) aspect of a post-meeting announcement in Feb/Mar at latest.
PS: What's happened to date with the SP will IMO be seen in retrospect as merely preliminary value adjustment, clearing away preconceptions before the market gets to digest the full implications of both platforms in operation.
