No - not recuse. But declare conflict of interest. Ensure the conflict is minimised. Ensure the inventor is not on a judgement panel if has conflict of interest and in particular if one of their employees. Anyway - like I say - one for Mesoblasts board and management and the lawyers. Who I have exactly zero concerns are capable of handling this.
