One thing is for sure, the response to the coronavirus by the West has been haphazard and inadequate.

China is going to go on a massive propaganda campaign in it's own country to shore up internal support for it's regime, when cases in the US eclipse theirs.

This will be only weeks away. Of course, there's long been suspicion that China has hidden their true figures. However the fact remains that although their belated response has endangered the entire world, they did finally respond however brutally, and they are running a superior propaganda campaign.

This is all that counts in China. The US and western nations have in general, responded badly with Trump, Morrison and Johnson the biggest culprits but Macron and Conte also. It's a demonstration as to why optimists get elected, people want to hear the good news, and introverts who are less optimistic, more realistic who deal with the real issues.

I'm sure that some of the sticking points in negotiations will be IP, commercial returns, etc. Very tricky and fascinating.

Also many young people have been struck down by the virus and are occupying ICUs. This means medicos must decide who to apportion the ICUs to; older people or younger. The younger usually get preference. Brutal.

It's a real life and death situation.
