For all its problems and issues the Takeovers Panel can be assembled pretty quickly and make rapid decisions. I wonder if Giles or anyone else in the no camp (only needs to be a shareholder) has thought about an application to the Takeovers Panel for unacceptable circumstances.
I wouldn't trust the ASX or ASIC to regulate their own bowel movements, so the Takeovers Panel may be the "best" option?
