We will be unlikely to find any REE's at Broken Hill as they are normally found in a weathered Carbonatite horizon.PGE's,(Platinum Group Elements),a different sub-set altogether.
Both groupings of Elements are,however,on the Critical Minerals List of the US and Australia.Earlier this year,the Australian Government formed a Critical Minerals Facilitation Office,to expedite the fast tracking of the early development of any of these Deposits,should they be found.
The main game at Broken Hill,is,or should be,the confirmation of a mineable resource at Red Hill in the first instance,followed by the tracking of the Nickel/Copper feeder source of these PGE's.
In the Rare Earth space,it may be worthwhile having a look at REE.
