I agree stevo does put out plenty of put downs but he has started to include some arguments too. Even within the putdowns there are a few gems. He assumes I went to a "leftist" university. Every university I've been associated with covers a wide political spectrum so "leftist" would be fair comment. What I do like is the implicit recognition of tertiary education. In any event education is only ever a state of mind.

My late father in law left school when he was 11 and worked his Dad's orchard and stables. He kept learning all his life developing an encyclopaedic knowledge of horticulture. He knew the lineage of many of the trotters running at Harold Park and had a truly uncanny ability to pick winners.

He kept an open mind.

Climate deniers don't have open minds but reality will catch up with them whether thy like it or not.

The Climate Council has put out an update of the stats on scientists/climate change. This time it's scientists in general not climate scientists only.
