Those links have been posted before on this thread. The 99% Climate Council graphic facebook link I gave includes a further link on the graphic. You can follow that link to actual scientific studies just as you can with the skeptical science links.

"Torrid" does has specific climate meaning as well as a very specific geographical definition. The geographical torrid zone varies according to perturbations in the Earth's orbit so I will use more of a climate definition and define "torrid" as a distressingly uncomfortable combination of high temperature and high humidity. We can expect a higher frequency of more torrid weather events because of the climate changes we humans are causing.
