A Hotwater solar heater is a lot cheaper than PV and also a lot more efficient. My only gripe is that we cannot buy a hot fill washing machine or dishwasher. This seems a very easy thing to do for the powers that be but nothing is done. The new hot fill machines could have a plastic tank installed within the machines to buffer the cold water dead leg from the tank to the machines.
